March 13, 1967 – December 23, 2022

Charles Frank Bortle passed away after a short illness at age 55. He was a loving brother and uncle who will be greatly missed. He is survived by his siblings. Edward (Rose) Bortle, Ruth (Victor) Osborne, Lee (Andrea) Bortle, Ronald (Deb) Bortle, Nancy (Jerry) Frey, Joeseph (Marianne) Bortle, Dorothy (Steve) Maneen, Pauline Malone (Peter DeWitt) and Wayne Bortle. Sister-in-law; Alethea Bortle. 48 nephews and nieces, 50 Great nephews and nieces. One great-great niece!    

Charlie was predeceased by parents; Eugene and Lucy Bortle, Sister; Shirley Bortle, Brother; Thomas Bortle. Sister and brother-in-law; Mary and George Delucia.

Charlie worked in food service in the Fairport School District and Wegmans in Penfield for 19 years. He was a great fan of the BUFFALO BILLS.  GO BILLS!

Charlie was a life-long member of the East Penfield Baptist Church.

Friends and family may call at the Richard Keenan Funeral Home 7501 Pittsford -Palmyra Rd. (Egypt Location) on Thursday December 29, 2022 3 to 5 PM.

Funeral will be Friday December 30, 2022 at East Penfield Baptist Church at 11 AM

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the East Penfield Baptist Church 2635 Penfield Road, Fairport, NY. 14450

    Charlie was a true gift in this world. Such a kind heart and good person. Always greeted us with a big smile and a hug. A beloved Uncle, God Father, brother and brother -in -law. He will be missed. Our deepest sympathy’s to all his family and friends.
