We already miss John at Seneca Lake. Great host, “Drink up, Larry,” with a bottle of wine in his hand waiting for me to take that last sip. One of the few men I’ve known in my life whose entire face lit up when he smiled. Great singer, sat in front of him and Judy many Sundays. Condolences to all who knew John. He was a great friend and neighbor.

John was a gentleman and.a Gentle Man. Never heard him make negative comments about anyone. We cherish the many wonderful memories of our years and times together. Deepest sympathy to the Hull/ Bricklemyer family

I worked for John as a supervisor in Copy Products at Kodak. I respected him very much and he taught me so much in how to be effective and fair in dealing with employees, vendors and other departments. He made me a more well rounded person and made my time working for him a wonderful experience.

John, Carol and all family members,
Shirley and I were saddened to read about Mr. B’s death. He will be missed by all who knew him. In our high school years we had fun with Mr. B at his Naples cabin and in college years at the Savona cabin. We would go to the cabin and cut grass, clean trails, check out good spots for deer stands and have a hamburg or hot, and when we old enough, a cold beer (usually PBR if I remember correctly). If we needed something he was always willing to help out. He was the only person I knew who owned three sump pumps at one time. The home on South Cross Trail had a quick filling sump pump crock in the spring time.
In college I thought that I might work at Kodak. After graduation I had the pleasure to be able to work at Kodak with both John Edward Bricklemyer and John Thomas Bricklemyer for a number of years. You can learn a bunch of things from two John Bricklemyers!
It was always a pleasure to see Mr. B out and about town. It was usually at Home Depot. He would walk quietly up, stand next to me and ask “Hey what are you working on” and flash his big smile. We would catch up on our families activities and then head back to work on our projects. My day was always a bit better after seeing Mr. B. I know he is up there watching over us and sending us good ideas like “Hey I think those screws are cheaper at Lowes”
    God Speed Mr. B

Thank you, Warren for your wonderful tribute to Dad! Your description of meeting up with Dad in Home Depot brought a smile to my face.

    Judy,

Debbie and I were so sad to hear about John. We had such a fun time as next door neighbors. The birthing of new bears, the responsibilities the kids learned taking care of the dogs. I also remember the new words Brian learned when John ran the rotor tiller into the garage siding and that your alarm would go off when John blew his nose in the bedroom. We still laugh at that one. We will always remember him fondly and with a big smile.
