Predeceased by first husband: Meril Thibodeau & second husband, William L. Mogan. Sisters: Antonia Parent (Camille), Adeline Cote (Zephiren), Anne Rothwell (Harry), Aline Ouellette (Rene Cormier) Brothers: Peter Deschene (Theresa) and Leo (Gabrielle) Deschene. Daughter in law Diane Thibodeau
Survived by her children: Rodrigue Thibodeau, Jean Guy Thibodeau (Steve Troth), Donald (Cindy) Thibodeau, James Thibodeau, David Thibodeau (Kelly Butler) Grandchildren: Louise Thibodeau, John Thibodeau (fiancé: Andrea Benton & daughter: Rhyan), Cristin Leviner Great-Grand Children: Haydn Soucy & William Lewis And many nieces and nephews
The entire family wishes to thank the Fairport Baptist Homes, and Quail Summit -Canandaigua for all of the care given to our mom during her 10year struggle with dementia.
Calling Hours Tuesday June 27, 2023 10-11AM at Church of the Assumption 20 East Ave Fairport, where a Funeral Mass will immediately follow.
Donations gratefully accepted to Alzheimer Association or Lollypop Farm.
Yvette was a strong and courageous woman who met life’s challenges head on.
She was a deeply religious woman who rarely missed Sunday mass.
Her children were the center of her life and she devoted herself totally to them. She was kind and understanding and taught her sons the value of hard work.
She loved all children and particularly enjoyed her years working for Fairport Central Schools as a bus driver where she became very attached to the children that she drove.
She loved all animals and was quick to sneak treats to dogs at every opportunity. Of course, when she was caught slipping the treats, she denied everything.
She loved to cook and created great results while rarely measuring anything. She was an avid gardener who canned or froze her harvest while generously giving much of it to friends. She loved to entertain and anyone who dropped by was always welcome to stay for a meal.
She looked forward to strawberry season every year, where she would bring the gang to help pick strawberries. Of course, her boys would eat as much as they picked and inevitably finished with strawberry fights, coming home with very stained t-shirts.
She was a serious bargain hunter, loved garage sales, and always had envelopes of coupons at the ready.

Aunt Yvette will always be remembered as the fun aunt. When she came to Ontario for a visit I will always remember the fun she had playing badmontin and tried cheating a few times ( the fun aunt)

Yes, she loved to cheat at games and was so proud that we never figured it out, LOL.
Even when she got up to do something and left a few “extra playing cards” on her chair like we never noticed them. But she was so loving and fun that we “let her get away with it”

Your mom was one in a million! Her faith was incredible, and she lived a very full life with all of your kids and grandkids. May she now rest in peace. Hugs to all of you.
