Brown, Hilda M. “Peg”

On April 1st, 2018 Hilda M. “Peg” Brown was reunited with her parents, Albert and Esther Mindich, in Heaven. Her love lives on through her beloved husband of over 70 years, Roy D. Brown; cherished sons, Rodney  (Marci)  Brown and Richard (Nancy) Brown; loving grandchildren, Heather Brown-Simons, Jennifer (Doug) Viets,  Jessica (Colby Lush) Brown,  and Steven (Kailey) Brown; adoring great grandchildren, Ryan, Jason, Paige, Julia, Noah, and Loey; loyal sisters, Joan Barnum , Betty Sampson, and Delores Witt; and many more nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Peg was a cherished wife, first and foremost, who showed her husband true love and companionship for over 70 years. Roy always knew she would be his biggest/loudest cheerleader. She was a nurturing mother to Rod and Rich. They knew they could count on her for guidance through their lives. As a grandmother and great grandmother, she shined. She introduced coffee to them by age two, convinced on looking parents that green jelly beans were, in fact, a vegetable, and twisted locks of hair gently until the child fell asleep. She impacted so many people over her lifetime. She ran the cafeteria for Penfield Central Schools, worked on the ambulance for Perinton Ambulance Corp., was a proud member of Egypt Fire Department Womens Auxiliary, co created a second home in Painted Post that is “Camp”, and was a second Mom to many other children. She is already missed so much.

Calling Hours will be held Friday, April 6th 5-8PM at The Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home (Egypt Location) 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Rd., Fairport, where a funeral service will be held Saturday, April 7th  10:30AM.
