Paul Carini, Fairport, NY – left this earth peacefully January 2nd, 2021  at the age of 81.  He was surrounded by family.   He resided at the St. Johns Greenhouse Home for the last two years.

Predeceased by his parents John and Concetta (Jennie) Carini, sister Josephine (Robert) Schooping, brother Patrick, brothers-in-law, Robert (Pauline) Governale, Chester(Rose) Miner and Eugene (Jean) Powell. Sister-in-law Marie (John).

Paul was a lifetime resident of Fairport and was active in sports. He was a Fairport High School Red Raiders football quarterback, 1957 – #39.  He went into construction and became a successful road building contractor, Owner/Operator of Monroe Roadways, Inc.   A member and officer of NUCA (National Utility Contractors of America). 

He loved golfing with his wife and friends both in Florida and in New York where they amassed many endearing friendships. Hunting at his family camp in the southern tier and an active member of the “outdoorsman club” of Perinton. Family holidays and celebrations were special to him.  As a Christian, he enjoyed attending churches in New York and in Florida where he and Gayle were seasonal occupants.

Left to celebrate his life are his beloved wife of 44 years- Gayle: children Paul H. (Kristen), Susan Jendrasik, Daniel (Mari); eight grandchildren –Paul J.(Alexandria) Molly, MacKenzie Carini; Eric, Jacob, Kevin Jendrasik, Jessica, Jackson Carini.  Brothers Louie (Shirley), John, Samuel; Sisters Rose Miner, Mary Lou Jacobson, Jean Powell and Pauline Governale.                                                                                     Stepchildren: Barton Adams, Shelly Vahue, Michael (Mikel) Adams, Karla (Arthur) Babcock; Seven step grandchildren: John, Shaina, Jenna Babcock, Michael (Kelsie) and MacAlister Vahue, Corinne Adams and Greg, Jesse (Larissa) Johnson.

The family wishes to extend their love and gratitude to all the staff at St. Johns Home.  The love and affection they gave to Paul is greatly appreciated.

A celebration of his life will be planned at a later date.

    My condolences to the Carini family. I played baseball for Spencerport & Ferris Goodridge Legion Post against Fairport & Brooks-Shepard. Paul was a top player for his teams.
