So handsome on the outside and pure light on the inside. Just a really good man! Perfectly matched with an equally great woman! Together you both brought joy where ever you went, along with three absolutely adorable children. I eagerly awaited the various times of year when 74 Waterford Way would visit Whitehall or Ti. The influence likely so much more profound than you know. It most definitely weighed in to my decision to attend Brockport. Gary supported the country girl in me and that somehow gave me confidence. I am just so lucky to be in the family. It is really hard to even write Gary’s name without Maureen’s immediately following; hence the rare 53 years of Earthly marriage. Both such positive influences and generous souls. Maureen, I am heartbroken for you and the kids and grandkids and just everyone. It is difficult to even know what to say when words seem so insignificant right now. I love you all and I know that your Faith will guide the way. XO martha

We have known the Flanagan family for many years. Our daughters are the same age and went through school together. Gary was a wonderful family man and extremely proud of his children. He had a great sense of humor. We have not seen him for quite a while which we now regret. May he rest in peace and may Maureen and his family be comforted by knowing his suffering is over.

The Flanagan’s were our neighbors for many years when I was a young girl. We reconnected recently at his sister’s 50th wedding anniversary when I met Maureen for the first time. She is amazing. I wish I had the perfect words to express my sadness at Gary’s passing; perhaps no one does. Rest in peace Gary. You will always be in my thoughts.

What a great man that could tell some amazing stories. The Flanagans were our neighbors on Waterford Way for so many years and we were so fortunate to have the opportunity to know the entire family. Rest In Peace Gary and know that you and Maureen raised an amazing family!
