Gallagher, Eileen Teresa

New Rochelle, New York: Passed away 6/11/2017 in Buffalo, New York with her daughters by her side. Eily daughter of Joe and Hannah Coleman, was born 09/06/1932, wife to Stanley T Gallagher, mother of Debbie, Jo, and Nancy.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, June 30, 2017 11:15AM at Church of the Assumption (Fairport, NY). In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.

 

Eileen’s Life Story

Eily as known by her family and friends, grew up in New Rochelle, New York. She attended Blessed Sacrament and St. Gabriel’s schools. She met her husband Stan through friends and family; they were engaged  in July 1953 and married June 1955. Eily worked for the NY Telephone Company until she had her first child Debbie. She was a stay at home mom  to raise her three daughters Debbie, Joanne and Nancy. When  Nancy started  school she returned to the work force at Sears in New Rochelle. She was involved in many in many clubs and participated in her’s and her children’s school activities,  including PTA, Women’s Club, Girl Scouts, Drama Club, and she was always there to help out family and friends. She and Stan moved to Sherman CT. when he retired to a  house on Squantz Pond where she love to have her grandchildren  Michaela, Lindsay, Jamey, Emily and Hannah come visit. When the grandchildren grew older they moved to Macedon, NY.  to be closer to their Daughters in upstate NY and Pennsylvania and was able to attend many family activities. Eily loved to do crafts and crochet, and donated the things she made to several charities. She was very involved in her church  The Church of the Assumption in Fairport, and became a Eucharist Minister, she donated her time to Meals on Wheels, and the Fairport Baptist Home. Recently she moved to Buffalo, Ny  where here oldest daughter lives. She enjoyed spending time with her adult grandchildren who brought her such joy. She saw Michaela, Lindsay, and Jamey married, and her first two great grandchildren born Levon and Rian. She is survived by her siblings Eddie and his wife Anna, John, Rea and her husband Jim. Her cousin Peggy, who was just like a sister to her. Stan’s sister Barbara Mc Donnell, her daughters and their spouses Rick, Craig, and Frank, her grandchildren and their spouses Chris, Brandon, and Ashley, the joys of her life for the past two years her great grandchildren. And her pug Buster. She will remain forever special for all those who knew and loved her.
