Gilligan, Catherine I. (Shea) (Lytle)

Fairport: April 22, 2017. A true Irish beauty, both inside and out, passed as gracefully as she lived her life, at  the  age  of  91.

Predeceased by her husbands, John   E.   Lytle   and   Francis   J. Gilligan; and her son, Joseph F. Gilligan.  Surviving  are  her  beloved  children:  Sheila  Lytle, Deborah (James) Brennan, Lynn (Bob) Stadtmiller, Robin (Scott) Summers,  Kelly  Lytle,  Mary Katharine (Philip) Bator, Theresa (Bill) Maulsby, Louise (Dan) Kieliszak, Margaret (Steve) Salt, Elizabeth (Dan) Kern, Ed (Kelly) Gilligan & Maureen (Bill) Sharp; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; many loving nieces, nephews & cherished friends. Special thanks to her wonderful care providers: Colleen Powers, Loretta Baker, Kathy Emmert, Karen Kommeth & the office of Dr. Stephen A. Rich.

Calling hours, Thursday, 4-7 PM at the Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home, Egypt location, 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Rd., Fairport. A Mass  of  Christian  Burial  will  be held Friday, 12 Noon at St. John of Rochester Church, Fairport. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Diocese of Rochester – Legacy Campaign, 1150 Buffalo Rd., Rochester, NY 14624, or  Masses  may  be  offered in Catherine’s name.

  3. Deepest sympathies and prayers for the Lytle family and her extended family. I remember your Mother fondly and she was a lovely lady. I remember her love for her 5 daughters growing up on Eaton Road. She was a very strong lady and protective of her family.
