Jerry Harper of Fairport, NY entered into rest at home after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer on August 26, 2021.
Predeceased by his beloved daughter, Katie. Survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Carolyn Dwyer Harper, three devoted sons: Brian Dwyer Harper (Erica DaCosta), Kevin Matthew Harper, Cormac James Harper. Jerry is also survived by one darling granddaughter, MacKenzie Aurora Harper.
Jerry was fortunate to have the love of four brothers who survive him: James (Betty Ann), Dan (Laura), David (Nancy), and Christopher. He is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.
For 46 years, Jerry was a cherished part of the Dwyer family. He loved his in-laws as a second family and is survived by his in-law siblings Sheila Colombo (Bill), Bill Dwyer (Lynn Doucet) and Beth Bunce (Ed). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews with whom he was very close.
Jerry was a Manufacturer’s Rep for Nike for 29 years, where he made some of the closest friendships of his life. He was blessed to have many close friendships throughout his life and treasured the opportunity to connect with them, especially during these last difficult months.
Jerry was a kind, compassionate man with a ready smile for all. He loved traveling, and took many extended trips to Europe, where he fearlessly drove the steepest hillside roads. He enjoyed many times at lakeside cottages, and always enjoyed getting together with the extended family.
The family is so appreciative of all the love and support from family, friends, and our wonderful neighbors. We are also grateful to the caring team at Wilmot Cancer Center and URMC Hospice. You have all enriched our lives beyond measure.

Jerry was a beloved cousin. He was always so kind growing up and in adult life. He will be missed. Carolyn, I am so sorry to not be able to attend the services. I am in Cleveland, Ohio helping my son, Scott, with his 3 children while his wife helps her mom. I am sorry to miss seeing all the cousins. Be assured of my thoughts and prayers at this time.
