To the entire King Family –

You are in my thoughts and prayers. I was shocked and sorry to hear of Lorraine’s passing. I just found out today where the arrangements were to be held.I taught with Lorraine at the High school level for a number of years and still a Phys.Ed colleague after she moved to the elementary level. Lorraine was a true professional and a caring teacher with her little people . You knew they were coming to our level with a thorough Phys. Ed. background which definitely helped the success of our programs. Lorraine touched a lot of peoples’ lives up here and I’m sure she’ll be missed. May she rest in peace and now pain free.

    Sincerely

To all in the extended King family:

My name is Chris Gould and I was a student of Miss King for 6 years. She was a very patient and competent educator! I will forever remember her as “that” teacher that once you got to know, you had a friend for life! My best friend Jevonnah and I were nominated by Lorraine as student athlete leaders, and while athletic pursuits were not my strong suit, I was forever moved by her gesture and that honor. It was a joy, years later, to run into her around the city. Wishing you all peace at this difficult time. Know of my prayers!

To the family of Lorraine King: I taught with Lorraine for many years at Kennedy and Madill Elementary Schools. Lorraine always had the very best for her students in mind. She made sure within a given year that her students had a chance to try a variety of activities from parachute play to scooters and she taught sports activities skill by skill encouraging all to try. She loved to have the classroom teacher join in on occasion. Her impact on her students will not be forgotten. Thoughts and prayers to all.

    Dear Family of Lorraine.
I am so very sorry to learn of Lorraine’s passing. She was a kind and compassionate friend to me many years ago when I was undergoing biopsy for cancer. She traveled over to the hospital to sit with me and offer encouragement and support.I have never forgotten that.We also taught together at Madill Elementary School. Her physical education programs offered something new to my third grade students. It was exciting for them to learn new skills ,especially cross -country skiing in Madill’s
backyard .And she saw that equipment would be provided for her kids. That was Lorraine!!!She was passionate about her job.At times she even involved all the faculty .as she did ,on one occasion, where we learned dance steps to “Born in the USA”.We all had a great time then.Know that Lorraine was loved and appreciated by all of us who got to know her.May she rest in peace!!!!!!

Sending thoughts & prayers to Lorraine’s family at this difficult time. My husband, Ron, also was a colleague of hers in the Phys Ed Dept within the Ogdensburg City School District. I also worked with her indirectly through the Business Office of the school system. She was always such a warm, friendly person who genuinely cared about her students and she will be missed by many.
