Glenn was born in Jamestown, NY on February 10, 1933. He graduated Jamestown High School in 1950 and worked at Art Metal for before attending Syracuse University. While at Syracuse, Glenn was part of the Air Force ROTC. After graduating SU in May 1955, Glenn entered active Air Force duty and was part of the Air Force Military Air Transport Services (MATS) serving as a navigator on the C-124 Globemaster. In June 1956 he married Iris Carlson. Glenn was assigned to bases in Texas and Delaware before leaving the Air Force and returning to Jamestown in 1959. After working for Marlin Rockwell for a year, Glenn and Iris relocated to Fairport in 1960.

Glenn worked at General Dynamics until 1963, when he joined Xerox. After a 31 year career at Xerox, Glenn retired.

Glenn enjoyed travel, the outdoors, fishing and hunting. Camping was high on Glenn’s list and enjoyed many years of camping with his family and the Boy Scouts. There were a lot of good times around the campfire with family and good life-long friends.

Beyond his family and career with Xerox, Glenn volunteered a lot of his time. He was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in East Rochester and later Immanuel Lutheran Church in Webster. At Trinity he served many terms on Church Council and was a Sunday School teacher for the high school group. Glenn also was Scoutmaster for Troop 367 sponsored by Trinity Lutheran Church. There are many stories about his coffee pot disappearing for a short period of time on those Scout campouts.

In retirement Glenn and Iris spent a lot of time with family and traveling around the US, Canada and Europe.

I started a thirty-two year career at Xerox in 1976, working for Pete Miller in Glenn’s financial analysis, planning and control group. Our backgrounds in the Air Force and Army respectively put us on a common footing from day one. Glenn’s level headed, easy going manner and sense of humor made going to work every day a pleasure. It was truly an honor and a privilege to know the gentleman from “Cuse. God Bless Glenn, Iris and the entire Leet family.

My condolences to the Leet family on Glen’s passing. I worked indirectly with Glen Leet while I was at Xerox. I was in finance and had to get information from him. I always enjoyed talking to him about my dad in the Air Force in WWII, and growing up Lutheran, teaching in a Lutheran high school.. He was such a warm man and great to talk to. May his memories be a blessing.
