Fairport: Passed on Saturday, June 14th at age 71. Jean was born in Parry Sound, Ontario. She graduated from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario in 1964. She met her husband at U of R and married in 1966. Jean earned her Masters and Ph.D from U of R. Dr. Maley gave 41 years of service as a professor at St. John Fisher College in the Economics Department. She continued her service there throughout her retirement.

Jean is predeceased by parents, Violet and James McCans. She is survived by her husband, Leonard “Len” and son, David (wife Hollye); sister, Sheila Smith (husband Lloyd); brother, John McCans.

Friends may call Friday 4-7 PM at Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home, 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Rd.( Egypt Location). Memorial Service will be held at St. John Fisher College, Kearney Hall-Cleary Family Auditorium on Saturday at 10 AM.
