The epitome of a good neighbor!
My condolences to the Marlette family.
I knew Gail and Carl from the days we attended high school on West Avenue in the late 40s and early 50s. after high school, we will see each other at the various holiday parades in Fairport.
Carl was quiet and classy guy. Also a very good golfer. It was a privilege when I occasionly got to talk with him over lunch at Monroe.
Bud, Marilyn, Erik and Nanci Van Slyke send their love to the Marlett family. We have many wonderful memories of Carl and your family from our days on Galusha Street. He truly was a good man and neighbor.
My prayers and thoughts go out to the Marlett family at this time. I had the privilege to know Carl and his wonderful family. Hit them straight on the other side.
I played quite a bit of golf with Carl at Monroe Golf Club in the fall when things slowed down a bit. He was always a perfect gentleman and played a beautiful little draw time after time. Carl was also an influential friend in business. He was always helpful and always generous with his time and knowledge of golf.
Carl and his family were a huge part of my growing up in Fairport. He and Gail remained close to our family long after we moved away. He was definitely one of the good guys.
