Early in her career, June worked in different departments of Strong Memorial Hospital. Later she worked at the Penfield Nursing Home and then taught Practical Nursing at BOCES in Fairport. She retired in 1982. June remained active in her retirement and she and Bill enjoyed extensive travel. Together they raised 3 boys, James (Judith), William Jr. (Susan) and Thomas (Katherine).
