Sandra K. Remington, 81, was called home by Our Father in Heaven on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.
Sandy was born on August 12, 1941. Sandy married the love of her life Stephen H. Remington on July 2, 1965. Together they raised 3 daughters Kimberly, Colleen (Kelly), and Karen. Faith, family, and giving were the principles that embodied Sandra throughout her lifetime. These principles always gave her the resolve she needed on her life’s journey, facing and conquering many, many challenges, all with such aweing grace.
Sandy’s greatest gift was caregiving; to all. There was never a more generous, kind, and caring soul and was the glue that kept the family together from hosting parties, making food, donating to everyone and everything, and always being such an amazing wife, mama, nana, sister, aunt, friend. She exemplified the true meaning of giver.
Sandy is survived by her daughters Karen (Larry), Colleen (Darryl), Kim (Joe), grandchildren Alyssa (Mike), Cassidy (Justin), Dylan (Caroline), Remington (Victoria), and great-grandchildren Averie and Addison (and soon to be Ainsley). She is also survived by her sister Kathryn Taraci, brother-in-law Robert, her sister Joyce (Dan) and several nieces and nephews.
Sandy was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Stephen, her parents Warren and Marion Schum and four sisters-in-law Patricia, Mary (Russ), Constance (Joe), and Judith and Patricia.
Sandra will forever live in our hearts and memories. She will forever be the colors of every rainbow!
Friends may call on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, from 4 – 6 pm at the Richard H Keenan Funeral Home, 7501 Pittsford-Palmyra Road, Fairport, NY 14450. Sandra will be laid to rest following an intimate funeral service at White Haven Memorial Park on Thursday, July 20, 2023, 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Pines of Peace comfort care home, https://pinesofpeace.org/, 2378 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY, 14519. Sandra’s journey to God’s Kingdom couldn’t have been more blessed or peaceful thanks to this amazing organization.
