Snyder, William Arthur

PITTSFORD – June 4th William “Bill” Snyder passed away unexpectedly and peacefully while working on his property. His loving wife, Sally, was at his side.

He was predeceased by his parents Kenneth DeWitt Snyder and Helen Adelaide Mitchell Snyder. He was their only child.

He’s survived by his life partner and wife of 35 years, Sally J. Schank, their three children (and spouses): Julie Serena Snyder (Hoppy Quick), Kenneth DeWitt Snyder (Elizabeth Andreae) and Curtis Wainwright Snyder (Natalie Sullivan). He had 6 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren.  Julie: Kena Gabrielle Snyder-Hamas (Yara Serenity and Amara Sage), Kopyrh Seneca Snyder-Shane and Gryffen Kahlil Snyder-Shane. Ken: Cameron William Snyder and Lily Isabelle Snyder. Curt: Liam Donald Snyder.

Bill was born in Glen Ridge, NJ. He attended Lehigh University and had a long career with Eastman Kodak Company until 1989, when he and Sally started their own training and consulting firm “Randamax Inc.”

Bill retired fully in 2000 and enjoyed working on his properties and house renovations. When not working on personal projects, he participated in activities such as fishing vacations with Sal’s family, attending the tennis open in Canada, volunteering his help with Sal at the Memorial Art Gallery “Art and Treasures Sale”and Blessed Sacrament Church “Next-to-New Sale”. At the end of the day, he would unwind with a good book, a swim and a martini with his wife. He loved to cook and was known to his family as the “Grill Master”. He and Sal loved to spend time with family and friends, always remaining the center of traditional family gatherings. During the winter months, they would fly to Acapulco where they enjoyed an active social and community life.

The family is devastated and miss him deeply. He has always been our “rock”, loyal and a loving husband, father and grandfather and friend to those who knew him.

A Memorial Service will be held with family and close friends at 10 AM on Friday, June 11, 2021 at the Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home located at 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Rd, Fairport, NY 14450.  Masks required.

Such a Nice Man, a Good Man, a Gentle Man, always ready with a smile, a joke, a kind word, Bill was stable and steadfast. He will be greatly missed by me and all of the volunteers who worked on the Blessed Sacrament Sale. My heart goes out to Sally and his Family. Sending love.
