Taft, Donald C.

Fairport: Died peacefully, with his family by his side, on November 4, 2016, at age 84. Donald was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Virginia B.; and brother, Charles Taft. He is survived by his second wife, Deborah; children, Richard (Debora), Dennie (Deborah), Cheryl (Donald) Judd & James; grandchildren, Courtney (George) Hughes, Austin (Elizabeth) Judd, Hannah (Kevin) Watson, Mason Judd, Chelsea Taft & Bodhi Taft; great-grandsons, Payton Hughes, Austin Judd & Nathan Hughes; brother-in-law, Robert Boughton; sister-in-law, Barbara Taft; several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Don served in the Army from 1954 to 1956. He worked for Fairport Electric for over 30 years before retiring to travel, fish, golf & play cards. He enjoyed watching the birds & squirrels frequent his bird feeders. His family hopes he is remembered for his kind spirit and big blue eyes.
Calling hours, Wednesday, 4-7 PM at the Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home, 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Rd. (Egypt location). Graveside Service, Thursday, 11 AM at Macedon Village Cemetery (Erie Street, Macedon). Donations in his memory may be made to Mercy Flight, or Fairport Fire Dept.
