Gregory Philip Voll passed away on March 29, 2022 with his beloved wife Amy at his side after a courageous 6 week fight in the Cardiac ICU 4-2800 at Strong hospital. We are eternally grateful for the incredible care and support Greg and our family received from the Nurses, PA’s, NP’s, and doctors. They were our family and friends when no one else could visit.
Greg was a loving Husband, Father, Grampy, Papa, Brother, Uncle, and devoted friend to all that knew him.
Greg is survived by Amy, his wife of 42 years, their three children Nicholas (Tammy), Julianne (Romulo) Braga, Christina (Chad) Bauer and six beautiful grandchildren- Eva and TJ Voll, Naomi and William Braga and Charlie and Easton Bauer, who were the joy and light of his life every day. Also survived by his brothers Theodore (Bonnie) Voll and Steve Voll, many nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends who loved their funny and loving Greg.
Greg was predeceased by his parents, Theodore and Helen Voll, his brother Tom, his brother and closest friend Peter, whom he missed dearly, his sister-in-law Charron Voll and his furry companion, Kitty.
Greg was born in Rochester, NY on December 17th, 1954. He attended St John the Evangelist School and Aquinas Institute and was always very proud of his Catholic Education. He received an Associates Degree from Alfred Tech and then completed his BA in Computer Science at SUNY Potsdam.
Greg married Amy in January of 1980 at St John the Evangelist Church. Their family grew and they settled into their home on Miles Ave in Fairport. Their 3 children were part of a neighborhood, in which everyone helped to support, watch, and love each other. They were blessed with so many wonderful friends and memories. These years were filled with much joy, celebrations, sports, and always lots of life.
Greg and his brothers, Steve, Tom and Peter, owned and operated Panorama Car Washes. Greg’s location was on Scottsville Rd. After selling this business he found his next career as a Golf Service employee and Manager at Oak Hill Country Club. He found another world of friends that became part of his already vast loyal circle. His time at Oak Hill gave him great joy each day. He loved mentoring the employees and getting to know and serve the members.
Friends and family are welcome to join the family for his Funeral Mass at St John of Rochester Church, 8 Wickford Way, Fairport on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM. The Mass will also be livestreamed on the parish website. There will be a receiving line following the Mass. No prior calling hours. Greg’s burial will take place in the Spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lollypop Farm or consider donating blood. The gift of blood donations gave us the time we had together these past few weeks. We are most grateful for everyone that takes the time to give this gift. Greg would want everyone to purposefully thank each person on your path today. Share a smile, crack a joke, give a hug. Always say I love you.

In gratitude for the gift of Greg and comfort and peace to Amy and his wonderful family
Love and Prayers to the whole Voll family. May Greg live on through each of you and may fond memories of fun times together bring you peace.
Greg took me under his wing 13 years ago when I started working at Oak Hill. He was the best teacher and friend I could have ever wanted. We were co managers if the Golf Service Center and although we didn’t get to work a lot the last couple of years we would go for a ride in a golf cart and talk about different things when our paths crossed at work. I got to know Amy and his family and they are fantastic to be around. I remember one day Greg asked me what it was like to be a grandfather, I told him it is the best time of your life and he certainly enjoyed. Greg was loved by the members and fellow workers at Oak Hill. RIP brother from another mother.
Greg will be dearly missed by all his family of friends at Oak Hill. He always made us smile when he visited our office. Sending all my love to his family and friends.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of our dear friend Greg. Always ready with a smile, a hug and humor. Ron will forever miss his favorite golf partner and friend. Keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers. The Schubach Family
Such a loss for so many of us. Greg treated all of us like we were his best friends. A strong Christian Family man that gave to all and asked for little in return. We will miss him in so many ways, SJR has lost a true Christian Soldier. GSC will not be the same without Greg’s welcoming smile, sharing of his important pictures of family and often corny jokes.
Mrs. Voll, Julianne, and Rom,

We went long periods without seeing each other or talking but when we did it was like no time had passed. Greg was my brother and I will miss his presence in this world. Love to Amy and family.

Have also known Greg since the panorama days. We were Mobil dealers together for many years.. 1987, both of our stations were being remodeled and my main cooler showed up damaged so a delay of weeks was possible before I could reopen. He insisted I take his cooler although he was only a week or two before his was completed. Thats the person he was. May GOD bless him and his family.
Greg and I were Classmates and friends at AQ. He was a VERY loyal friend, always a smile and a real joker. A fun person to be with. He lived a full and Happy life. To Amy & Family, you have my sympathies and prayers for strength during this difficult time. RIP Greg. AQ’73
So very sorry for your loss. Prayers for Greg and your family.. “Eternal rest grant unto him O’Lord and perpetual light shine upon him”
Rest in perfect peace Greg ?
This loss hits me especially hard. I counted Greg as one of my dearest and closest friend’s and companions. Time spent with him was always happy time and I was blessed to have an abundance of them through the many years going back to our days a AQ! So many more than my old and feeble mind could possibly contain. But so many of them come flooding back to me now and with tear filled eyes and selfish intent I contemplate the void that presents me going forward. I also have to acknowledge that my heartache is entry level compared to the beautiful family he leaves behind. Amy I can attest to the immense pride he had in having shared his life with you by his side and the job the two of you accomplished raising such a loving and successful family. That legacy will be felt for generations. Rest in Eternal Peace my brother. Peace and love to you all.
Sally and I were deeply saddened when we learned of the loss of Greg. I have been a member of Oak Hill for over 35 years and Sally for over 10. Oak Hill is a very special place and Greg always added to the “special” being one of the first smiling faces we saw as we arrived to play golf at Oak Hill. We will always remember him as smiling, helpful, conscious and every single member/guest was important. Our condolences to Greg’s family in this extremely difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Sally and John

Greg Voll’s family made a positive impression on all who were lucky enough to have made their acquaintance. We certainly had a lot of memorable times when our daughters were advancing their softball team to the NYS championship game. We extend our sincere sympathy to the entire Voll family and pray that they will find comfort in many happy family memories. Pax vobiscum.

I knew Greg for many years as a customer at his car wash on Scotsville rd. I was delighted when he joined the service department at Oak Hill and enjoyed his greeting and attention whenever I checked in to play golf . He brought badly needed managerial skills to an important part of the Oak Hill environment .For a number of years he helped us move to Florida as snowbirds and made the move as stress free as possible. He always did more than expected of him in any contact that we had. Mary and I will truly miss him.
