Jeanne Wahl was born in Rochester on January 23rd, 1934, and spent her whole life there. Her parents were Nobert and Veronica Ehmann. Jeanne married Martin R. Wahl and together they had five children. She valued family life and always remembered everyone’s birthday. She loved cooking and baking; Christmas was her favorite holiday.  She also looked forward to June and strawberry picking for her strawberry jam. She had many friends and enjoyed playing cards and bowling. She treasured family gatherings and always organized family reunions.

Jeanne liked singing for the choir for years and looked forward to Sunday Mass. She found strength in her faith and calmness was always her strong character trait.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Beth, her son, Matthew and her grandchildren, Katrina, Christopher, and Theonie. She had three great grandchildren, Austin, Nikolas and Achilles. Jeanne is also survived by her siblings: Margaret, Louis, Gerard, and Robert

This is a Big loss to feel . As all losses should…my heart goes out to Matt and Mary Beth . They have endured so much loss . But rest assured that Jeanne is in Heaven with our Lord . She was a good woman that always made me feel like a need to be a good man . I was her son Raymonds age , and lived across the street . i surely will cherish my memories of her….

My heart aches for you all… Jeanne was my mom up the street for decades we’d be in and out of the house playing pool in the basement , and wreaking havoc of some sort or another. We drove her nuts down at the cottage too I am sure but she always took care of us as she did for so many others ( I think she kept a little halo hidden). I can hear her laugh and can see her sitting on the deck by the lake…. Jeanne you were loved and you were such a part of my entire life in so many ways. Thank you… you will be missed…. And will always be in my heart..

Simply put, Mrs. Wahl, Jeanne, but above all an unconditional Mother is a Saint. A strong endearing woman, she definitely found peace at church and with God, you could truly see her faith. Many memories that Dave Muench stated are true, we neighborhood kids kept the Wahl household busy even on cleaning days! Ahhh the freshly made baked goods, and of course the well stocked store bought cookies somehow disappeared after I got to them. You were a good friend of my mom and dad, so many good old school memories from the 70s and 80s made life so much better, thank you for being a part of that journey. As my parents would likely tell you, Love and God Bless.

It has been many years but I still have fond memories of Jeanne. We were next door neighbors on Caroliine St. all my life. You will be in my prayers and memories. Condolences to the Ehmann family.
