FAIRPORT – Robert Jerome Warren (Jerry), born in Rochester, NY on September 5,1943, passed away on December 31, 2024 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by his parent’s Joseph and Jessie Warren. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Jean; brother Joel (Rita) Warren; sons Brett (Denise) Warren, Jeremy Warren; grandchildren Haley and Carter; and nieces, Emily and Robin.
Jerry attended Ithaca College and earned a bachelor’s degree in international studies/political science. He earned his master’s degree in education from SUNY Geneseo. Jerry was a history teacher in the Wheatland-Chili school district for many years. He led several Monroe County, Model U.N. groups of students on annual trips to The Hague, Netherlands where they would learn about government and debate. Jerry owned his own photography business, which was a year-round job but particularly great in the summer, specializing in weddings. For many years he was involved in local politics and is probably best known, to this day, as being the Mayor of Scottsville.
After retiring as a teacher, Jerry became a realtor where he enjoyed a successful career of 20 years selling houses. Jerry enjoyed traveling the globe and he and Jean rode all over the United States on his Harley Davidson. As an avid guitar player, Jerry and Jean would play at local nursing homes for the residents and this brought joy to both of them during their retirement years.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 1, 2025 at White Haven Memorial Park at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research: www.michaeljfox.org.

One of my most favorite teachers. He treated me with respect and humor when he knew I was having troubles in my life that I didn’t share with anyone. He’s one of only 2 teachers that actually made me want to stay in high school to graduate. I’m sorry for his family’s loss.
Hands down, my favorite teacher ever. Just a cool guy all round. He seemed to live a full life, maybe moreso than most. I was saddened to hear of his passing, even tho I haven’t seen him in so many years. Condolences to everyone in his family.
I have many great memories of being in his class
He certainly was a kind person and a beloved teacher , only good memories of him.
Praying for healing hearts for his beloved family .
He was a great guy and always there when u need him and I am glad I got to have him in my life and meet him
Jerry was a next door neighbor ever since they moved to Windrush Valley Rd. We enjoyed many fires in the backyard on balmy evenings. I remember how much he loved his Harley and the annual garlic fest . Jerry will definitely be missed.
He was a teacher with a great sense of humor, and just a personable guy. My condolences to the whole family.
A good teacher and very nice Man Thank you RJ for all you taught us.
When I started in Real Estate back in 2003, Jerry was my mentor and good friend as well. A very special man with a kind heart and wonderful sense of humor. Prayers and love to the family.
RJ was one of my most favorite teachers ! I took European studies as a sophomore and in one of our first few days of class, one of my classmates asked the question,” sice we’re studying Europe, we could go there ! RJ said it was a great idea ,and that got the ball rolling,

To my favorite teacher. Good man.
Brett and Jeremy my sincere sympathies at the passing of your dad. He was not only a colleague at WC but also the photographer of our wedding. Fond memories of those years. May your treasured memories bring you joy as well as comfort.
What a great loss. Thank you Mr. Warren for being such a great teacher. I feel very fortunate to have been in your class. God bless you and your family.
I was a student on one of his trips to The Hague. It was my first trip out of the country. He took the time to point out things seemingly blasé to the others but he somehow knew I would be amazed – like my first sight of windmills from the train in the Netherlands. RIP Mr. Warren.
Jerry a long time friend from the teenager years and a great person to have known. Jerry will be missed by many people.
Such a a kind, sweet man, I did not know him long, but what an honor. I will keep him and his wife in my heart forever. ❤️
My condolences to the whole family.
RIP R.J. You opened so many young, naive, and very small town minds to the wonders of Europe by taking them there (I was twice blessed to go with you!) You set us free (“While in Paris, wander with someone…you won’t get lost because you’re with them and they’re with you!”😊 ) And yet you showed too how much you loved our small village of Scottsville, Mayor. I just moved back to Scottsville and always will remember you as I pass your house…a very good and kind man who just enjoyed sharing life with others in his own special way. My sympathies to Brett and Jeremy and family.
Jerry and I were associates at ReMax Realty. He was an upbeat and sincere coworker. I knew something was wrong when I didn’t receive my annual Christmas card. Rest in peace Jerry I’ll miss your smile! Mary Jane Mahon
