Fairport/Hammondsport:  Warren Brewster Bastian, age 86, died peacefully at home on Keuka Lake on April 27, 2018 in Hammondsport NY.  He is predeceased by his parents Eugene and Elizabeth Bastian and his sister Mary Bastian and son-in-law Daniel R. Tappel.  He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Marilyn, children Julie (Chris) Hawk, Lauren Tappel, Charles (Jennifer) Bastian, Sandra (William) Karpen, and Jason (Peggy) Rider.  Grandchildren Kristen (Theodore) Froncek, Kelly Tappel, Thomas Tappel, Emily Hawk,  Daniel Hawk, Katelyn Bastian, Steven Bastian, Matthew Karpen, Julia Karpen, Paige Rider and Morgan Rider.

Warren was born on January 23, 1932 in Rochester, NY.  He graduated from Irondequoit HS, obtained his BS in Mechanical Engineering from U of R and after serving as a lieutenant in the Navy in the Korean war, he earned an MBA from Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia.  In addition to his business ventures Warren was an avid volunteer. He spent endless hours working with Rochester Rotary, RCSD School 8, UR DKE Fraternity, and the Rochester LPGA tournament for many years.

Warren was a great lover of all sports, he was an avid golfer, skier and sailor. His love of music especially jazz was prolific and included many albums, CDs and tapes.  He also loved the Buffalo Bills, but most of all he loved Keuka Lake and his family.

Calling Hours will be Sunday, May 6th from 4-7 PM at the Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home (Egypt location), 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Rd., Fairport.  A funeral service will be held Monday, May 7th at 2:00 PM at Mountain Rise United Church of Christ, Fairport.
