Carol P. Bergeron, age 69, of Fairport, NY, passed away at home on Monday,
November 20, 2023. She was born January 15, 1954 in Springfield, MA, the
daughter of the late Charles and Doris (nee Lantaigne) Paar. Carol is survived by her husband, John E. Bergeron whom she married on May 31, 1975 at St. Agnes Church in Niantic, CT. She is survived by her children  Jason M. Bergeron, of Bristow, VA; Dennis A. Bergeron of Rochester, NY and Sarah K. Bergeron of Rochester, NY, as well as by two brothers, Henry Paar and Thomas Paar of Niantic, CT; and a sister, Beverly Newburgh of Waterford, CT along with two grandchildren Ian and Megan Bergeron of Bristow, VA.

Carol was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a registered nurse holding various positions throughout her career to include school nurse at St. John of Rochester School and more recently the Fairport Baptist Home. One of her favorite roles was as an EMT for the Perinton Ambulance Corps.

While in nursing school, Carol met the love of her life, John, singing with the folk choir. When they were married, the priest commented that their relationship “began in little heaven” as he pointed to the choir loft. Music would be a central part of her life. Along with her husband John and family, Carol spent many years as a music minister playing guitar and leading the folk choir.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 11 AM at St. John of Rochester Church at 8 Wickford Way, Fairport NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (https://www.lls.org/).
