Old Saybrook, CT/Victor, NY: December 21, 2016. Joseph is predeceased by loving wife of 41 years, Joan Breindel. Survived by son, Jonathan Breindel; daughter, Jessica Breindel-Thisse and son-in-law, Jeremiah Thisse; twin grandsons, Kyle and Landen; granddaughter, Brooke; siblings, Father Charles Breindel, Jerry Breindel, Eugene Breindel, Patricia Breindel Wise; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Joseph had many hobbies including, crocheting, crossword puzzles and was fortunate to have been a 3 day winner on Wheel of Fortune. Joseph also volunteered at St. John’s Church of Old Saybrook, CT., St. Mark’s Food Pantry, ushered at the Good Speed Opera House, and a volunteer at many local libraries. Joseph was a devoted English Teacher for over 30 years serving Harrisville Central Schools.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Church, Victor, NY 10AM. In lieu of flowers please make donations in memory of Joseph and Joan to St. Mark’s Food Pantry, 222 McVeagh Rd., Westbrook, CT 06498.
