VanDenburgh, Esther H. (Hasting)

Fairport: Services will be held Fri­day, Oct. 21st for Esther Hasting VanDenburgh, who died October 12, 2016, at a nursing home in Fairport. She was 96.

Esther had a life-long interest in classical music and literature. She wrote hundreds of poems over 50 years, many of which were published. She also was an accomplished decorative painter. She worked at the Draper Broth­ers Co. in the Felt Design Office. She loved to travel and made sev­eral trips across the country and to Europe. Esther was born in John­stown, NY, and resided in Canton, MA and later in Canandaigua, NY.

She is survived by her son, Arnold J. (Stacey) VanDenburgh, and various nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold H. VanDenburgh, in 1972.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home, 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Road. (Egypt location). A service will follow the visitation period. Private burial will take place in Prospect Hill Cem­etery in Gloversville, NY. Dona­tions in her memory may be made to Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Road, Fairport, NY 14450.
